BARGE FABRICATION

In September 2002, C & C Marine received its first barge construction project, an order for two 42ft by 170 ft double-skinned tank barges. Throughout the construction of these vessels C & C was able to continue its normal operations in the marine repair segment. The Company completed ten barges within its first year of barge fabrication. During that time, moreover, C & C Marine added computerized equipment to further substantiate its entrance in the barge fabrication market and as of December 31, 2010 has built Hulls.

C & C Marine and Repair, L.L.C prides itself on its ability to perform unique and highly specialized projects. The Company is extremely well suited to build a variety of barges including deck barges (the largest being 100ft X 400ft X 25ft), double-skinned barges, and specialty barges of almost any size. C & C Marine is the ideal shipyard for customers needing one, two, or even 100 barges.

Barge fabrication is conducted entirely indoors in one of our seven fabrication buildings. All of the sizes are listed on the Facilities page of this website. Additionally, C & C has two launching dry docks. The largest measuring 100ft wide X 320ft long and the other measuring 74ft wide by 230ft long, both are used to move completed vessels into the water.
